Il est plus pauvre en fer que le lait humain et l\u2019absorption de la faible quantit\u00e9 qu\u2019il contient est entrav\u00e9e au niveau intestinal par le calcium et les cas\u00e9ines. De plus, comme ses prot\u00e9ines sont moins digestibles que celles du lait maternel, il peut provoquer chez les nourrissons des colites et de micro-h\u00e9morragies de la muqueuse intestinale, entra\u00eenant des pertes occultes de sang dans les selles et, par cons\u00e9quent, un appauvrissement suppl\u00e9mentaire des r\u00e9serves de fer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Plusieurs \u00e9tudes ont montr\u00e9 que les enfants nourris principalement avec du lait de vache au cours de la premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e de vie pr\u00e9sentent un risque plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 de carence en fer que ceux nourris avec du lait maternel ou du lait infantile (15).<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"section\" data-elementor-id=\"25734\" class=\"elementor elementor-25734 elementor-3769\" lait de vache est \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s riche en sels min\u00e9raux. Leur filtration demande un effort important aux reins d\u2019un jeune enfant. Dans des conditions physiologiques normales, apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e2ge d\u2019un an, cet effort n\u2019a g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas de cons\u00e9quences n\u00e9fastes pour la sant\u00e9. En revanche, en pr\u00e9sence de facteurs entra\u00eenant une perte de liquides, comme une infection avec fi\u00e8vre ou diarrh\u00e9e, cette charge suppl\u00e9mentaire pour les reins augmente le risque de d\u00e9shydratation.<\/p>\n<p>Enfin, la concentration excessive de prot\u00e9ines (au regard des besoins d\u2019un enfant) dans le lait de vache pourrait favoriser une pr\u00e9disposition au surpoids dans les ann\u00e9es suivantes.<\/p>\n<p>Pour toutes ces raisons, selon les experts de l\u2019Organisation mondiale de la Sant\u00e9 et du minist\u00e8re italien de la Sant\u00e9, le lait de vache et ses d\u00e9riv\u00e9s peuvent \u00eatre introduits en petites quantit\u00e9s d\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e2ge de 6 mois dans le cadre de l\u2019alimentation compl\u00e9mentaire, mais ils ne devraient pas \u00eatre propos\u00e9s comme aliment principal en remplacement du lait maternel au cours de la premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e de vie (16).
