Vers 8 \u00e0 9 mois, de nombreux enfants commencent \u00e0 r\u00e9duire ou \u00e0 supprimer ce repos suppl\u00e9mentaire.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3800\" data-end=\"3936\"><strong data-start=\"3800\" data-end=\"3818\">13 \u00e0 18 mois :<\/strong> la sieste du matin tend \u00e0 dispara\u00eetre progressivement, tandis que la sieste apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9jeuner s&#8217;installe durablement.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"3938\" data-end=\"4093\"><strong data-start=\"3938\" data-end=\"3953\">3 \u00e0 5 ans :<\/strong> la sieste de l&#8217;apr\u00e8s-midi est la derni\u00e8re \u00e0 \u00eatre abandonn\u00e9e, mais elle reste tr\u00e8s b\u00e9n\u00e9fique tant que l&#8217;enfant montre des signes de fatigue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"4095\" data-end=\"4614\">Chaque phase du sommeil, qu&#8217;il soit diurne ou nocturne, joue un r\u00f4le sp\u00e9cifique dans le d\u00e9veloppement cognitif et physique de l&#8217;enfant. Il est donc important de veiller \u00e0 ce que les enfants disposent de suffisamment d&#8217;occasions de se reposer \u00e9galement pendant la journ\u00e9e. L<a href=\"https:\/\/babywellnessfoundation.org\/fr\/news-approfondimenti\/le-cycle-circadien-du-nouveau-ne\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8216;<strong>horloge circadienne<\/strong><\/a>, situ\u00e9e dans le noyau suprachiasmatique du cerveau, coordonne les fonctions physiologiques et comportementales selon un cycle d&#8217;environ 24 heures. La lumi\u00e8re du soleil est un puissant synchronisateur de cette horloge interne.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4616\" data-end=\"5426\">Pendant la journ\u00e9e, la lumi\u00e8re inhibe la production de m\u00e9latonine, une hormone produite par la glande pin\u00e9ale qui favorise le sommeil. La nuit, l&#8217;absence de lumi\u00e8re stimule la production de m\u00e9latonine, signalant \u00e0 l&#8217;organisme qu&#8217;il est temps de se reposer. Le <strong>cortisol<\/strong>, quant \u00e0 lui, est une hormone li\u00e9e au stress qui est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement lib\u00e9r\u00e9e en plus grande quantit\u00e9 le matin, contribuant \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9veil et \u00e0 la vigilance. Cette r\u00e9gulation est essentielle non seulement pour le sommeil, mais aussi pour de nombreuses autres fonctions biologiques, telles que la r\u00e9gulation de la temp\u00e9rature corporelle, la digestion et le m\u00e9tabolisme.
