{"id":11609,"date":"2020-11-16T15:25:58","date_gmt":"2020-11-16T14:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/babywellnessfoundation.org\/?post_type=segreti-nanna&#038;p=11609"},"modified":"2023-06-06T14:55:14","modified_gmt":"2023-06-06T13:55:14","slug":"capitulo-7-acompanar-el-sueno","status":"publish","type":"segreti-nanna","link":"https:\/\/babywellnessfoundation.org\/es\/segreti-nanna\/capitulo-7-acompanar-el-sueno\/","title":{"rendered":"Cap\u00ectulo 7 &#8211; Acompa\u00f1ar el sue\u00f1o"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Si bien el adormecimiento y las caracter\u00edsticas del sue\u00f1o del beb\u00e9 en los primeros meses de vida est\u00e1n, en gran medida, regulados por mecanismos fisiol\u00f3gicos innatos y por la <strong>predisposici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica, la mam\u00e1 y el pap\u00e1, con sus cuidados, pueden ayudar al ni\u00f1o a madurar y a superar los peque\u00f1os obst\u00e1culos del recorrido.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Conociendo las diferencias entre la estructura del sue\u00f1o del adulto y la del ni\u00f1o, es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil intervenir de manera correcta. Por ejemplo, sabiendo que, durante la larga fase REM, el peque\u00f1o puede moverse y emitir sonidos, es preciso distinguir con atenci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ndo est\u00e1 activo, pero dormido, y cu\u00e1ndo est\u00e1 despierto, para evitar tocarle y hablarle (18). De lo contrario, se podr\u00eda echar a perder el esfuerzo realizado para que se duerma, despert\u00e1ndole antes de tiempo. La misma recomendaci\u00f3n es v\u00e1lida para los despertares nocturnos. No siempre el beb\u00e9 necesita a sus pap\u00e1s para volver a dormirse, sino que tambi\u00e9n puede lograrlo solito, signo de maduraci\u00f3n neurol\u00f3gica. <strong>Por lo tanto, conviene observarle durante unos segundos y evitar cogerle en brazos al primer signo de despertar, y esperar a que sea \u00e9l o ella quien lance un reclamo a la mam\u00e1 o al pap\u00e1, si es que siente la necesidad.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Al crecer, el organismo se adapta a los ritmos biol\u00f3gicos del ni\u00f1o en funci\u00f3n de los factores ex\u00f3genos. Por ejemplo, el ritmo sue\u00f1ovigilia cada vez se sincroniza m\u00e1s con la alternancia d\u00edanoche. Sin embargo, en las primeras semanas de vida, el denominado ritmo circadiano (serie de ritmos que se suceden a lo largo del d\u00eda) a\u00fan est\u00e1 en fase de maduraci\u00f3n. El reci\u00e9n nacido necesitar\u00e1 alg\u00fan tiempo para ajustar su ritmo a los est\u00edmulos ambientales. El m\u00e1s potente de estos est\u00edmulos es la luz del sol. Exponer al ni\u00f1o de d\u00eda a la luz natural y reducir la exposici\u00f3n nocturna a la artificial le ayuda a adaptarse m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente (19).<\/p>\n<p>Otra medida de probada eficacia para acompa\u00f1ar el sue\u00f1o del beb\u00e9 es establecer una rutina relajante y reconfortante, que se repita m\u00e1s o menos igual todas las noches. Su funci\u00f3n es hacer entender al peque\u00f1o que el d\u00eda est\u00e1 terminando, que est\u00e1 a punto de empezar un tiempo distinto, el de la noche, y que mam\u00e1 y pap\u00e1 estar\u00e1n ah\u00ed mientras duerma y le acoger\u00e1n al despertar.<\/p>\n\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"section\" data-elementor-id=\"11488\" class=\"elementor elementor-11488 elementor-3769\" estudio estadounidense (20) ha demostrado que los beneficios de este m\u00e9todo son evidentes a partir de las tres noches, en lo que se refiere al tiempo empleado para quedarse dormido, el n\u00famero de despertares nocturnos y el estado de \u00e1nimo del peque\u00f1o y de sus pap\u00e1s. Masajes, caricias, un ba\u00f1o calentito, la lectura de un cuento o cantar una nana: no importa qu\u00e9 actividad se incluya en la rutina de las buenas noches, porque lo que marca la diferencia es la disponibilidad emocional del adulto, que presta atenci\u00f3n a las se\u00f1ales del ni\u00f1o, comprende su estado de \u00e1nimo y responde con prontitud a sus demandas. Este es el m\u00e9todo que da mejores resultados.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfY si el ni\u00f1o no es capaz de dormirse a la hora establecida por los pap\u00e1s? Quiz\u00e1s, es que es objetivamente demasiado temprano.
