La luz solar es un potente sincronizador de este reloj interno.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1468\" data-end=\"1897\">Durante el d\u00eda, la luz inhibe la producci\u00f3n de melatonina, una hormona producida por la gl\u00e1ndula pineal que favorece el sue\u00f1o. Por la noche, la ausencia de luz estimula la producci\u00f3n de <strong>melatonina<\/strong>, indicando al organismo que es momento de descansar. El <strong>cortisol<\/strong>, por otro lado, es una hormona relacionada con el estr\u00e9s que suele liberarse en mayores cantidades por la ma\u00f1ana, contribuyendo a la sensaci\u00f3n de vigilia y activaci\u00f3n. Esta regulaci\u00f3n es crucial no solo para el sue\u00f1o, sino tambi\u00e9n para diversas funciones biol\u00f3gicas, como la regulaci\u00f3n de la temperatura corporal, la digesti\u00f3n y el metabolismo.
