Prof. Rosaria Taverna

Prof. Rosaria Taverna is the President of the Midwives’ Board of Catania and Coordinator of the Degree Course in Midwifery at the University of Catania. She holds specializations in Bioethics and Sexology and is an expert in obstetric and gynecological ultrasound. She obtained the Professional Qualification Diploma for Executive Functions from FNCO in Rome.

As a professional trainer in the social and healthcare fields, Prof. Taverna teaches in the First-Level Master’s in Forensic Sciences for Healthcare Professions at the Faculty of Law. She also lectures in Clinical and Pediatric Nursing Sciences and Healthcare Management Sciences. Additionally, she is a faculty member in SSD Med/45 for Organizational Models in Midwifery and in SSD Med/47.

Her professional focus includes care during physiological pregnancy, perineal rehabilitation, and gender medicine for women’s health. She has supervised numerous theses, master’s programs, training courses, and has been a speaker at many conferences.
